For better stopping and handling control, have all brakes and suspension components inspected at least once a year or every 12,000 miles. Have any defective or worn out components replaced promptly.

Inspection & Repair Industry: IMPAC

Inspection and Maintenance Program Advisory Council (IMPAC)

Massachusetts Vehicle Check relies on more than the Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP), the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) and their contractor, Parsons, to meet its goals. The vehicle inspection and repair industry, dealer groups and commercial fleet operators are all integral contributors to the program’s success in achieving cleaner air and safer roads across the state.

To give these important stakeholders a voice in the design, implementation and operation of Massachusetts Vehicle Check, the agencies and Parsons convened the Inspection & Maintenance Program Advisory Council (IMPAC).

Quarterly meetings provide industry representatives an opportunity to learn about and discuss issues that are important to their businesses and operations, including program and policy changes, training programs and advances in technology. The next IMPAC meeting is scheduled for 12:30 to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 11, 2013.

If you wish to participate in IMPAC meetings, contact Parsons at 781-794-2960 for an invitation. The meetings are held at Parsons’ Braintree office.
